Cycling in Georgia

Hi there!

Recently I've traveled through Georgia with bike, Sony camera and two of my friends. This post includes few interesting facts and lots of beautiful pictures.

Georgia is a small poor country with gorgeous nature and most friendly and welcoming people I've ever seen. It shares borders with Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Highlands are half of its area.

Climbing to the top might be tricky, but it worth it.

Georgia is beautiful. And it was a quit wealthy region during soviet times. It is pity, currently it has unstable economy, many beautiful buildings are abandoned because it can't be restored and it is dangerous to stay there.

We have cycled a lot and have found gorgeous hidden places far from the busy crowd.

This is a real winery!

There are so called "rope roads" in Georgia. Kind of tram, but it is moving through the air along the rope.

Cycling might be tricky. Get prepared for the rain, river crossings and going up to the hill.
