HAINES CITY, FL – A 27-year-old high school teacher has been arrested after she sent nude photos and sexually explicit texts to a 15-year-old boy she met through Xbox One.Back in September, a woman in Texas wash checking her son’s phone and found he was engaging in an inappropriate relationship with Robin Dunlap, a teacher at Haines City high school.The woman used her son’s phone to contact Dunlap and inform her that her son was 15. Trying to get ahead of the storm that was coming, Dunlap voluntarily went to the Winter Haven Police Department to turn herself in.She admitted to sending nude photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas, but only did so before learning his real age. She claimed she met the teen over Xbox One before moving their communications to Kik. Dunlap said that the entire time she thought the teen was 19.A month later, the teen’s father contacted police to say that Dunlap was still in contact with his son via Google Hangouts, despite Dunlap now knowing the boy’s age. When questioned, Dunlap admitted to still talking with the teen because he was the only person she could talk to and he was the only one who understood her.A check of her phone revealed a conversation between the two that started on 11-26-17 and continued through 12-11-17 that “slowly progressed to extremely vulgar with sexually explicit language.”Since Dunlap was aware of the boy’s age at that time, she was arrested and charged with transmitting material harmful to a minor and using a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
