in photos •  8 years ago  (edited)

Sooo many people on this website have difficulties writing their story on Steemit and that's due to the fact that it steal a new concept and it's editor need new features to make life easier for Steemers , anyway in this post I'm going to show how to add pictures/videos .

First i want you to pay attention to the fact that when you want to write a Post on steemit there are two editors one is called editor  and the other is called RawHtml

Notice: on Raw HTML editor we use HTML language for those of you who don't have any idea about HTML i highly  recommend  you to learn at least the basics of this language

Adding pictures to you post

before you start click on

now when you want to add pictures you will be faced with two option either the pictures is yours maybe saved on your computer or on an Sd card, ect... then you will have to go to this website which is very easy to use https://ipfs.pics/ it looks like this:

and then just click on the triangle that says " click here to upload .... " choose the photo that you want to add

select it and click on open after that you will be redirected to this page

copy the address that you see , put it on your browser's tab and hit enter once you're browser loads you'll see the image that you uploaded make a right click on the image and click on "Copy Image Location"

and then just simply past it where ever you want it to be on your post your like i did on the making of this tutorial:

if the picture already exist on the internet let's say you found it on a website or search engine and you want to add it just simply right click  on the picture and click on "Copy Image Location"

and then past it where ever you want in your post.

 Adding videos to you post

to do this click on

to add a video we will be using Embed code so i want you to make sure that you are using Raw Html editor ,now to those of you who don't know what Embed code , is it's something that looks like this:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="

" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

and you can easily get the Embed code of a video from any video sharing website like YouTube just click on share and there you have it

copy the code and past it  there where you want it to be , like the way i did it:

and that's it.
