📷 My Photography: Photos of the Day in Colors

in photosoftheday •  7 years ago

During our Adventure at the Cordillera region, we visited the town of Banaue Ifugao where we find one of the wonders of the world, the Banaue Rice Terraces.

We went to the viewpoint or view deck and we saw these old locals sitting on a wooden bench. Their sole purpose is to wait for tourists, like us, to visit the deck and have a photo with them. From there you can give any amount in kind to them as a token of gratitude.

Here are some of our photos together with the elders. They are wearing hand-weaved attires which are so red in colors. I was the one first to seat beside them.

Then my wife followed, there were no other tourists that we can ask to hold the camera so my wife and I had separate shots with them.

After a few shots with the three elderlies, we went to the down town area using a tricycle and along the road is an old man also waiting for tourists to have a photograph with.

So we decided to stop and take a few shots.

Then I took some shots of jeepney filled with passengers on top, or top load as we call it.

Thanks for posting in color!
Wow, the first shot is just amazing. The best picture I have ever seen on steemit.
Cheers!

Best picture - Never received such a great compliment before, thank you.

Very interesting! Also interesting how no matter where you go, there will always be some people ready to have their photo taken with tourists!

Appreciate the great insights. Yeah for these people, having photos with tourists is a way of living. They don't make much it depends on how much the tourists give them, you won't see them complain they are all smiles. Giving them something worth 4 SBD will surely make their day :)

Very cool and interesting shots. The elderlies have great hats :)

Thank you @greatdabu, yeah they have very cool hats some has bird feathers on it :)

Thanks for this wonderful story, what I like the most is the colorful jeep and I was wondering how the people get up there!

Hehe good question, one way is to climb un in the front of the jeepney, second one is on the back of it there's a stainless stair made as a means to climb and the third way is using the side of the jeepney by the windows, use it as a step to get up there but you have to be extra careful :)

Nice pictures. My asawa and I were there recently. We are definitely going back!

Great! Beautiful place isn't it? My wife and I are also planning to visit Baguio this year and climb some of the mountains there :)

Oh, nice! I like Baguio. :)

Beautiful city, coldest spot in the country that is why its crowded mostly in summer times.
