I'm BACK!

Back In The Saddle Again

This Black Crowned Night Heron, welcomed me back to my daily walks.

It's been a few weeks since I was out and about, and today, down by the banks o the Muddy Water, I saw this guy, at his usual fishing spot, right below the falls, waiting for evening meal to slip over the break and falls. It was about an hour, out and about. Although, with the high heat, humidity and being first time back, I took the pace slower. Still, it was nice to see him, and the cardinals, robins, grackles, titmouse, mocking birds, and goldfinches, among the feathery friends....!

Any chance to grab my camera and get out for a birding adventure, or out on the water for some marine species, well... that's a win in my book: Today, A WIN!

Always, I strive to give back
To the animals and birds around me
to put more plants in than I take out
And be a good steward for the world around me!

Lovely photo, and I really like how you caught the foam from the waterfall! So glad you shared this on PYPT so that I could hear the story behind it!

The little bird is so cute! Every time I hear of the Night Heron, I remember hearing one fishing near me one night when I drummed on a sandbar in the middle of a lake. I think I shared that story on Ello, but haven't posted it here yet. I need to do that, as it was such a special night and an awesome memory!
