Afflicted with severe amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the disease did nothing to slow his mind. Although strapped to a wheelchair, he saw more and he saw further than most humans.
Hawkings brought us deeper understanding about our universe and our place in it. He found meaning where there was void. He saw creation where there was destruction.
Rest in peace, Stephen Hawking. Without you the human race will have to look elsewhere for a guiding light into the cosmos, but your legacy will forever be etched in the night sky when the stars shine the brightest.

I was really sad to see this when I got in to work this morning. He truly was a visionary and his influence will be greatly missed. Hopefully someone will be able to step up and fill the vacuum.

It's a shame to see this morning. There is a lot to take from a story like his and I feel as though the world won't quite be the same without this man.
