Pi Network uses a unique consensus algorithm called the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), which was created by Jed McCaleb, the founder of Stellar. The SCP allows Pi Network to be mined by individuals without requiring a lot of computational power or energy.

To start mining Pi, users need to download the Pi Network app on their mobile devices and create an account. They can then start mining Pi by simply pressing a button on the app once a day.
