Inner Spark - Piano Composition

in pianocomposition •  7 years ago

For my new composition I wanted to try something a bit different and get out of my comfort zone.

So I was looking at bringing in rhythms that I wasn't familiar with and maybe depart somewhat from the classical genre. I got to learn a bit about syncopation and all the new musical styles that it opens up.

The result is called Inner Spark and it is about this fire inside us that many of us experience at some stage in our life, usually in our early adulthood.

Maybe this piece can help bringing back some of these intense emotions I/we used to feel when reading our favorite author, listening to music that touched us or having a profound discussion with a like-minded person.

When the spark re-ignites, we feel reborn with a new world to conquer.

This spark inside us doesn't die, it just needs to be re-energized every now and then.

I hope you enjoy the piece.
