An average of 6 trillion cigarettes are produced annually worldwide. Most of them are on streets instead of trash, roads and many places where they do not belong and are expected to dissolve. Researchers at RMIT University have discovered that these butts can be used to make an asphalt that absorbs less heat in hot spots. This discovery is a good measure to prevent environmental pollution, while providing a good opportunity to make better quality, unspoiled asphalt
