Good News for Rare Blood Groups

Scientists at Bristol University and the NHS Blood and Transplant Institute have found an effective way to produce red blood cells for rare-looking blood groups. If this success is proven after the tests to be performed, transfusion for people carrying rare blood groups can become much easier and blood banks can create a new resource for restricted areas. Team work published in Nature Communications
