Last night I was making a delicious dinner and I thought I might make my first food post.

I took a bunch of photos of our fabulous dinner.
Ribeye from the local butcher, cherry tomatoes, boiled eggs, bread (for the husband, he needs carbs) radishes from a local Farmer's Market.
Well, it turns out I should have taken Photography 101 after all.
When I went to get my awesome photos off my phone... hahaha. I had to laugh.
You are also allowed to laugh! :)
Guess I will not start posting foodie photos anytime soon.
I thought I would share my failure for your entertainment

Don't beat yourself up over the pics. I hate most pics my phone take. I don't think most cell cameras take good pictures. That steak looks pretty thick. Guessing you either cook it for an eternity or like it rare-medium rare. I prefer medium rare myself, although I have been accused at times that it is still mooing on the plate.
Do you have a grill you cook it up outside on? Not really sure what kind of cooking situation you have available in the RV.

I'm the one doing the Keto. He is thin and has a very fast metabolism, he requires a lot of carbs. Not all bodies were made the same.
Yeah the steak was thick, I like medium rare and I cook it on medium heat to warm the whole thing up. We do have a bbq, but I just cooked that on the RV Range.

We are similar in our house. I'm doing quite full-on keto, <25 grams total (not net) carbs per day, but @sift666 can't go that low. I'm partway through a series of posts, but have had to take a break for family commitments, back to it soon I hope. How long have you been keto?

I must talk to you about Keto as well - I'm doing a version of it too - as is @kiwideb - but sub 10% carbs causes me problems.
And for food pics just use any half decent digital camera - not a phone.
Just about anything will work for food. I like Canon cameras.

They are pretty cheap now - that blue one is only US$149 on Amazon, and out of the 35 000 pics I've taken - that camera would be higher spec than what I used for about 95% of them!

Ah, food posts. Guaranteed to cause discomfort to the reader.
If you're on a diet, they make you want to break it. If you're not, they make you hungry, someplace where there's nothing to eat.
Glad to know you're dinner was yummy. Now my stomach is rumbling, even though I already ate earlier, and I'm going to rush out, and join the line of late night Saturday drunks stumbling out of clubs, to queue up for a kebab and chips (that's fries, not crisps; which is what we call what you call chips).
One thing I learned from a food photographer is that food photos are usually doctored by smearing inedible oil and crap all over the food. Makes it look all shiny, but try and eat it and you'll die a quick death, or at best, you'll choke on it.
Anyway, given your ingredients are not doctored, they actually look mighty fine! And the real miracle is, you can actually eat them! :)

You think so? My background it pretty dim which makes the pastry look edgy and depressed to me. I imagine that it chain smokes and is really into nihilism. Like it is saying "just go ahead and eat me, it's not like anything matters anyway" in the same argumentative tone that it would use with its parents when it didn't want to go to school.
