How Long Can You Keep A Good Man Down. My Trip Out To See The Christmas Lights

I have been coupe up in the house for going on 70 days. That’s over 1/4 of a year. The only place I have been to is the hospital . In all fairness I am in no way healthy enough to be out of a hospital let along out of a clean room at the house. But we are not going to be fair here.
I wanted to go out. So I decided to take everyone to the Botanica Garden Of Wichita Christmas lights.

Now you have to understand that my decision came with an enormous amount of push back. With good cause. The tempter was in the high 50’s but dropping by 6 pm , so there you have some reason for concern. I bundled up from head to toe just to please everyone. You also have to realize that when I say I will take them to the light show it means.

Not only will I be bundled up but I would be wrapped in a blanket as I am pushed around in my wheelchair. So basically they do everything and I take the credit. Whaaahahaha.

I took some pictures with my iPad as they pushed me around. The air was a little thick with smoke and it made it unpleasant in some of the areas. When we got home we found out there was a large fire in the neighborhood .

I found the laser lights interesting . They are the next three pictures ending with designs on the ground. There were so many people surrounding the exhibit it was hard to get close for a picture. A Sunday night and the crowds were there.

These next pictures I took on the way out. We only seen a small portion of the place.

Ok after about 40 min (est) I was done . I just said I wanted to go out. I never said for how long. Now I get to sit in my room listening to ,”are you alright”. To be honest no I am not but I will say that I am. However I am recovering with a smile on my face because of this evening outing.

We had a nice time. No matter how short it was. We got out of the rut we placed ourself in. And maybe even got out of our comfort zone just for a brief moment. It was so nice to hear them talking and laughing. I have not heard that level of laughter in a long time.
I wanted to stop for coffee and cake but that just was not happening. Another time maybe. It also just doesn’t make sense to push to much. So we just went home. Home sweet Home . As time goes on I am hoping for more outings.
