I remember hearing about this years ago and wondering how the hell blatant corruption like this goes on for years and years without being stopped! It's just another of the many examples of how programs 'intended' to help people become co-opted and distorted by government beurocrats. Obama took what Clinton began, what Bush cowtailed to, and totally 'fundamentally transformed' it into an outrageous pet project that had nothing to do with the original intent of the program which was to help actual farmers.
This is exactly why we are not a Socislist Nation! You cannot control government's overreach. Corruption grows like mold in a petri dish whenever government is involved. And look at us now! An entire half the population of Liberal Democrats all with their hands out wanting 'their fair share' of the pie. A pie that they themselves do nothing to create. It's disgusting to see.
