you know I was trying to remember how I placed in them...I can't remember if I actually won but I'm pretty sure I got at least a few 2nd or 3rd place finishes. It was a pretty big group, probably 50+ kids. If I still have them I have no idea where they are....
The key was to always use the graphite spray on the axels lol

Sounds like you had some solid competition! Until I was asked to help with this car, I didn't know pinecar derby was so intense. I found out there are all kinds of keys to making a faster car, like graphite on the axles, making it "crooked", weighting different parts of the car. Although I didn't help with building it, I had fun decorating ☺

Amazing! A pink pinewood derby, and good alliteration as well. You have to have some pizazz and sparkle in your life.
Also it made me think of the South park that has the pinewood derby that shoots into orbit and brings in interplanetary visitors and Stan's dad lies and hilarity ensues. There seems to be a Southpark for every occasion.
