Aqualicious is a fun book in the Pinkalicious series. Pinkalicious is at the beach listening to a shell and suddenly a small mermaid named Aqualicious came out of her shell. We find out that she is a Merminnies, a rare species of mermaid that is very small. Pinkalicious introduces herself, but the merminnie said that her favorite color is blue because she is Aqualicious. Pinkalicious takes her over to her show her to her brother Peter. Pinkalicious’ parents were sleeping on the beach but Peter was excited to meet Aqualicious. They build her a sandcastle palace decorated with shells and feathers. Aqualicious thought it was lovely but said she needed to get home and has to live in the water. PInkalicious and her brother agree but ask her to first come enjoy lunch with them. They go to the concessions stand and Aqualicious asks to try one of everything since she usually only eats plankton and other seafood. They go golfing, but PInkalicious gets mad that Peter will win every time with her help. Aqualicious takes Pinkalicious out into the water and shows her how to surf in the ocean. Next in the children’s book, a seagull grabs Aqualicious and carries her over near the lighthouse. Peter threw a mussell to the seagull and it dropped her into the soft grass. Pinkalicious and her brother place her in the water, but she is afraid because she doesn’t live in the ocean. They find out on the beach that Aqualicious is a famous merminnie that lives in the aquarium near the beach. Pinkalicious and her family take her back to live safely in the aquarium.
