Skullys is a location-based digital collectible game where players collect skulls. Each skull is unique, an NFT, and can be bought, found, traded, and sold, just like a pirate soul.
While supplies last, you can swap any digital collectible you own, regardless of its value and receive a newly minted Skully. Once you make your swap, embark on a plundering journey of flag pinning and raising your colors.
PO8 tokens are named after the famous ''pieces of eight''. These were real coins minted by the Spanish government a couple of centuries ago. The coins are also quite popular in various pirate lores and have played quite an important role in the famous Pirates of the Caribbean series.
In Skullys, PO8 tokens are redeemable tokens with which you purchase boosters and unlock special abilities. Both the boosters and the special power can then help you complete your quests and earn new skullys more rapidly.
According to Skullys co-founder, Frank Yglesias or Calico Jack as commonly known in pirate circles, “Owning over a dozen different ERC721 digital collectibles, I quickly lost interest in all of them and paid no mind to them, for the lack of creativity and worthlessness they represent. So, we came up with the Walking the Plank idea, which holds true to our pirate DNA and brings back some excitement and zest to the collectibles space. We need to shake things up and get people excited once again in not only collecting, but also introduce more peer-to-peer entertainment and the chance to earn crypto rewards.”
Last week, United Africa Blockchain Association (UABA), signed a memorandum of understanding with London-based data analysis firm, Coin Intelligence to train 1 million Africans in blockchain.
