PiTCH To WIN Masterclass

Are You Ready To Pitch? Pitch To Win will make sure you’re ready. Do not waste good idea with a bad pitch. In my 9 years of conducting training for startups I’ve seen brilliant ideas denied of funding due to bad pitch, and even great pitch rejected due to simple mistake in replying judge’s question.

On Saturday 23 Feb 2019, I had a great time sharing my experience to entrepreneurs who wished to empower their business pitch at the Pitch To Win Masterclass.

The one day training attended by entrepreneurs of different backgrounds with one common purpose- to enhance pitching skills and have better chances of winning fundings to turn ideas into reality.

My very own pitch canvas which I designed to be used in the coming Pitchborneo 2019, so I shared the knowledge with them first.

Except for my crews, almost all the participants are ladies and one gentleman Mr Maximilian Clark- lucky guy 😁.

Max is from startup company, Vacazee, which is seeking funding to develop apps to link SMEs like homestays, car and bike rentals direct with tourists.

I also invited one of #pitchborneo successful entrepreneurs under my wings, Mdm Asmawati Anafiah, to share about her experiences in business pitch.

Asmawati already won RM300K from Rural Business Challenge for Banana World idea and received another RM100K grant from YIM (Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia) for making paper from banana trunk idea.

Food & networking is very important in a workshop. We had a good lunch prepared by another entrepreneur, Sarimah or Kak Yong, winner of RM20K funding in Pitchborneo program.

Networking is one of the valuable things we can get from workshops and seminars.

I hope all the participants gained more that they deserved. They have acquired the most basic knowledge from slides preparation to pitch and handling questions from judges which many people do not have because they think a god idea is good enough to get the money. Like in many other trainings I conducted, I learned from the participants as well.
