As an update on the 1631 lost PIVX from the corrupted wallet..

I now know why my harddrive failed..

It WAS a powerspike! I woke up a day or so ago from a p;astic burning smell..
Went to the desktop and saw sparks and flames through the window.

I thought it ran OK, i upgraded my system a bit every month. The only part i kept was a 2013 be quiet! PSU of 750 watt..
Last upgrades were two WD harddrives after the loss of my PIVX i didn't trust Seagate anymore.

Anyway, used the powder extinguisher to suppress the flames after disconnecting the power.
Most connections to the GPU, etc were burned or torched. The 24 pin ATX cable was unrecognizable.

Tested GPU, MB, RAM, SSD, HDD at neighbours.. All were dead or at least battle damaged. MB didn't boot.

Warranty was expired of PSU and doesn't cover externals anyway. Not insured for this, so it's just a 3360 euro loss. (It was an expensive build)
Just a shitty month for me i guess. Or shitty year i'll say with the way PIVX is going still.

Anyway, next time i will follow the warning signs and check the whole system with such an error/fault.
