Google's new flagship phone doesn't have a camera like iPhone 8 Plus has, but $130 will get you one for sure.
Moment is about to introduce a support for its add-on camera lenses for the Pixel 2. As Google announced, Moment is releasing two cases that include slots around the camera that are intended for attaching a mountable camera lenses, which will allow users to make potentially better photos by adding fisheye, wide, telephoto and macro lenses in front of the existing camera and that way get new effects.
Just to remind, this isn’t the first support equipment that Moment released for the models of Pixel line, but it is definitely the first that will be ready for the launch day. Moment has also put out cases for the previous, Pixel and Pixel XL in March, but this time cases will be released for sale right away.
There are only two options that users can choose: a black case with a wood-grain back and an black case with a textured back. Both of the cases are available for $30 for both the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. Unfortunately, this time Moment isn’t offering anything more attractive, like the battery case option it has for the iPhone.
While Moment used to offer options for mounting lenses directly on the phone by using a clip-on plate, they stopped offering that this year and now require from buyers to first invest in the case. This idea is not that bad if you were planning on buying a case anyway, especially since cases that Moment is offering aren’t expensive that much. Its lenses run from $90 to $100 each.
