A History of Pedophile Scandals Part 1- The Franklin Coverup

Now that the news of #pizzagate and #fakenews has slowed down a bit, at least for a while, I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the history related to this issue. Pedophile scandals are nothing new to people in the centers of power, be it politics, military, media, or religion. Many times in fairly modern history this issue has been exposed but it did not receive the attention it deserved. In fact, it is my contention that these scandals are all related and evidence of a long-standing and systemic problem that has plagued humanity for quite a long time indeed.

You have to start somewhere so I'll start with one of the first times in modern history that the White House has been implicated in a pedophilia scandal that should have got more attention than it did- what has become known as the Franklin Coverup. This scandal starts in Omaha, NE and the now-infamous Boys Town and a man named Larry King (not the CNN host) who was described as one of the fatest rising African-American stars of the Republican Party in the 70s and 80s. Boys Town is a nonprofit organization started in 1917 by a Catholic priest named Father Flanagan that helped troubled and orphaned boys and later girls. It was the setting of a couple of films in 1938 and 1941 starring a young Mickey Rooney that not only helped launch his career but brought Boys Town to national attention where it was looked at as a shining example of American philanthropy. King was the general manager of the Franklin Federal Credit Union as well as Vice Chairman for Finance of the National Black Republican Council and chairman of the Council of Minority Americans.

The accusations against King began in 1985s with Eulice Washington, a girl who had been adopted by King's cousin Barbara Webb and her husband Jarrett Webb who renamed her Lisa Webb. The investigation began after Lisa and her sister were questioned by the Nebraska Department of Social Services as the result of the two girls running away from the Webb home several times. At first reluctant to disclose information out of fear of punishment, Lisa eventually relayed a story, later corroborated by other of the Webb's foster children, of a pedophile ring run by her "Uncle Larry". This story was revealed to one Julie Walters, a welfare officer who worked at Boys Town who had been brought in due to the girls' constant reference to the institution in the matter.

According to Lisa, King had run a massive pedophile, homosexual, and pornographic ring out of Lincoln, regularly flying her with other youths to Washington, Chicago, New York and other cities for massive child sex and drug parties. She stated that then vice president George Bush had attended these parties at least twice. An excerpt from Walters's 50 page report reads:
"3/25/86. Met with Kathleen [Sorenson] and Lisa for about 2 hours in Blair [Neb.] questioning Lisa for more details about sexual abuse…. Lisa admitted to being used as a prostitute by Larry King when she was on trips with his family. She started going on trips when she was in 10th grade. Besides herself and Larry there was also Mrs. King, their son, Prince, and 2-3 other couples. They traveled in Larry’s private plane, Lisa said that at these trip parties, which Larry hosted, she sat naked “looking pretty and innocent” and guests could engage in any sexual activity they wanted (but penetration was not allowed) with her…. Lisa said she first met V.P. George Bush at the Republican Convention (that Larry King sang the national anthem at) and saw him again at a Washington, D.C. party that Larry hosted. At that party, Lisa saw no women ('make-up was perfect–you had to check their legs to make sure they weren’t a woman')."
When questioned about this Lisa passed a polygraph examination.

However, this report didn't receive any attention until 1988 when it was included, along with other accusations against King, as part of a report for Nebraska's Foster Care Review Board who requested an investigation by law enforcement. The report went through the Omaha Police Department to the State Attorney General's office where it received no further attention. In 1989, after no charges had been produced, the OPD subpoenaed the records from the AG's office but the assistant AG refused to comply with the subpoena. He later admitted that he hadn't questioned a single witness.

In 1990 King was detained the day before then president George H.W. Bush was to speak at a fundraiser in Omaha he had purchased a ticket for having claimed the president as a close personal friend and was subsequently sent to a federal medical facility for a mental evaluation. This was in response to a 1988 indictment in which he was charged with 40 counts including embezzlement, conspiracy and fraud related to an investigation into the Franklin Federal Credit Union where it was determined that $39.4 million had been stolen. King was diagnosed with a probable paranoid delusional disorder and was declared unfit to stand trial and remanded to a US medical facility as a pretrial detainee.

In 1989 a Senator Schmit, who was trying to find out where the money went, released a 3 page report urging his subcommittee to change their tactics as, so far, they had failed to achieve an indictment and citing a $2800 receipt for a coat King had bought a man who was later found shot dead as evidence. This caused many of the investigators to resign as pressure to stop the investigation began including death threats to the Senator and lead investigator. The Senator appointed Gary Carradori as the new lead investigator and he quickly found new victims and perpetrators. He began to suspect that his phone was tapped when he would set up meetings and the FBI would be there when he got there and this was verified by a friend of his who was employed by the telephone company.

Carradori acquired the videotaped testimony (over 20 hours) of 3 victims, Alisha Owen, Troy Boner, and Danny King, who all said they were flown all over the country to sadistic pedophilic orgies where they were sold as prostitutes, all organized by Larry King. These tapes were given to the subcommittee who passed them on to the AG and Nebraska's US Attorney. A fourth victim, Paul Bonacci, was interviewed in 1990 and described the horrendous murder of a young boy in Northern California. The details are too horrific for me to recount here but his testimony can be seen here:

Immediately, "anonymous" sources started "leaking" that these witnesses had all failed polygraphs, a claim that was not corroborated by the FBI as they refused to comment and caused State Senator Jerry Chizek to denounce the leaks as a flagrant violation of Federal law and to comment "I've been around a lot of investigations and I've never seen one like this in my life."

Carradori managed to find an employee of the airplane charter service used by King who confirmed that he chartered a flight weekly and was accompanied by young, attractive, well dressed, clean cut and shaven young men who never spoke which she found odd. He was also able to acquire hundreds of flight logs from the chartered flights but, oddly, very few of them had passenger manifests. The itineraries listed several different destinations but the vast majority of them were to Washington, D.C. Carradori told the senate subcommittee that he was reluctant to turn his evidence over to the Nebraska State Patrol and FBI as they had been purposely misleading the subcommittee and sabotaging his investigation.

Carradori had learned of a photographer named Rusty Nelson who had photographed the orgies, purposefully getting pictures of the boys and their clients. Nelson told Carradori that he thought the purpose of these photographs was blackmail. Nelson lived in a luxury apartment sublet by Larry King at the time of the investigation. Nelson was later imprisoned for possession of child pornography.

Nelson claimed that King had tried to pressure him into participating in "hardcore activities" and that their relationship had devolved as a result. Following FBI harassment not to divulge his information Nelson fled to New Mexico where he was tracked down by Carradori. Nelson agreed to give Carradori photographic evidence and arranged a meeting in Chicago. Carradori flew his single engine Piper Saratoga to Chicago with his 8 year old son to meet with Nelson and take his son to a baseball All-Star game. There, he apparently met with Nelson who said he met with him very briefly, gave him the photographs, and got out of there immediately. Carradori phoned Senator Schmit from Chicago indicating that he had the evidence. His plane crashed on the way back from Chicago, killing him and his son. Some of his personal effects were missing from the wreckage including the briefcase where he would have stored the photographs. Two days later the FBI served a subpoena to his wife confiscating all the materials of the investigation. No explanation was given as to the cause of the crash but Carradori's investigative assistant said that his vehicles had been tampered with before his death and that she felt someone had sabotaged the plane. Senator Schmit filed an affidavit that he had been notified that Carradori's life was in danger and that he had been told a phosphorous bomb would cause damage similar to that found in the crash and that would be hard to detect unless the investigator knew what they were looking for. His death effectively ended the official investigation as after this witnesses were too afraid to come forward.

Nebraska State Senator John De Kamp wrote a detailed book on the investigation in 1992. No publisher would publish it so he published it himself. It is available to download free in pdf or read free online at the links below. I must warn you that it is very graphic and disturbing and I found it incredibly hard to read when I first found it 20 years ago.

In 1994 a film company from Yorkshire, England produced a documentary on this entitled Conspiracy of Silence. It was scheduled to run on Yorkshire Television in the UK and on the Discovery Channel in the US yet it never aired. TV Guide even changed their listing for that date to show what did air at that time but local newspaper listings still say that it was supposed to air at that time on that channel. There are also numerous websites on the subject where one can independently investigate. I wanted to write my first installment in this series of articles on this to show that #pizzagate is not a new problem or just a Democrat problem. The people involved in this scandal were all high-level members of the Republican party including the now former VP and President at the time of the election. It shows how the investigation was compromised through the actions of many individuals and groups at high levels including the FBI and Nebraska State Patrol and shows media complicity. My next piece will outline another pedophilic scandal, this time involving high-level members of the military and Satanists that was silenced even more effectively than this one. This is just the beginning folks, as this rabbit-hole is a mighty deep and dark one and it is high time this has been brought to the light of day.
