Some things to consider when it comes to the Roy Moore scandal.

I'm staunchly anti-pedophile. As in, when I found out a guy I had dated collected child porn, I didn't just report him to the police; I called the FBI as well. So when I say I fucking hate those opportunistic and predatory guys, its because I really, really do.

That said, I think the whole Roy Moore thing is oh so very interesting on a couple levels.

First off, let's establish this as a baseline: anyone guilty of preying on children should not be in public office, but in jail. If we can agree on that, awesome.

Secondly, the court of public opinion is not the same as a court of law, where one hopes forensics holds more power than opinion.

Thirdly, if you're on Twitter, I suggest following Thomas Wictor; the man has a strong sense of truth and doesn't gladly suffer fools. Oh, and his research is gooood.

That all said, let's move onto the meat and taters of this post.

Roy Moore. You've heard of him, no doubt, as the creepy Alabama judge with a preference of teens. And he may be just that, or he may be someone chucked in front of a train called The Storm, as a sacrifice to remind people that they can have their careers ruined for trying to interfere with certain unacceptable shenanigans, like making money illegally.

Now, when we hear about Roy Moore, we hear how his victim had his signature in a yearbook of hers. Um, okay. Thomas Wictor went on a rant, and it is freaking glorious as it addresses certain concerns that NEED to be addressed before rendering a decision in the court of public opinion.

Here is the rant in all it's glory (and I'll be making some notes below) :

The first post of his rant contains some interesting information for those paying attention. Oh, its game time, like in that kids magazine Highlights, where one has to find all the discrepancies/differences in two similar illustrations.

Do you see what I see?

  • inconsistent lettering; the e in Olde Hickory House doesn't match the inscription said to be Moore's.
  • why is the date referenced twice, with different handwriting (the 7's in particular)
  • black and blue ink; there doesn't seem to be any pressure lines, like when people try to rewrite a letter/word when the pen's ink runs out, traced over itself in an effort to milk more ink from the pen.
  • the M in Merry doesn't match the M in Moore; no serif.
  • the letter o is inconsistent; in To, More, Could, and Love, the o's all have serifs coming off the top in a horizontal line with no dip to it; the o in Roy has a dip to it, which looks more consistent with the letter a in the words a, beautiful, say, and both Christmas.
  • Finally, maybe it was the school district I went to, but we got our yearbooks at the end of the school year (May/June) so we had the majority of the year to put stuff in it... who gets their yearbook in December? Anyone?

Savvy?

Let's also consider this:

And this:

But it gets even BETTER.

So, one of the ladies accusing Moore of being icky got a divorce. That in and of itself isn't remarkable. What is truly noteworthy is that the judge who presided over her divorce case was none other than the Honorable Judge Roy Moore.

If she was his victim, wouldn't she at least try to get a new judge?

OOOOH and then there's this tidbit:

So one absolutely must consider the allegations to be part of a smear campaign. Who would want to trash Moore?

Welp, that's where things get fuzzy. Could be the DNC/Deep State projecting their own faults in an effort to strike back because their paid mouths (Hollywood perv culture) is getting purged and they want to take someone down with them. Who better but a fundie GOP known for the whole 10 Commandments in a Courthouse thing? If one consideres the pedo/satanist aspect of pizzagate, one could see why ruining the career of someone who wasn't part of that culture holds allure for assholes.

And let's face it, the pedo/satanist shit isn't Dems only; they cross political lines, since that's all theatre anyway. I don't doubt that McCain and McDonnell are both part of the shit stain part of American politics.

But if the dude did truly accost teenagers, then I hold to the belief he shouldn't serve the American people. Funny enough, even when he was in the news about the 10 Commandment's statue, these allegations of being a creep never came out. Why, I wonder now?

My guess?

#thestorm is coming and they know it.
