Placebo Effect (different from 'Placebo') - what are some examples?

A lot of you guys might have heard about 'Placebo'. In general words, Placebo is a Fake Pill prescribed by a Doctor to a patient, which will eventually heal the ailment, just because the Patient believed that the Pill could heal his/her ailment. To be honest, Placebo is one of the most understudied phenomenon in Psychology. BUT WHAT IS PLACEBO EFFECT?
PLACEBO EFFECT is when a Catalyst/Agent turns out to be effective in a situation involving a person, just because the person believed that the Catalyst would be effective. Even though a lot of Scientific Studies and Researches are divided into Placebo and Non-Placebo groups, not a lot of people have shown much interest in studying more about the 'Placebo Effect' itself.
What are some examples of Placebo Effect? YOGA is an Interesting and Controversial example of the Placebo Effect. We can see Placebo Effect in our daily life - just because a person believes that a Wound in his body is not that painful, the pain eventually fades away. ANOTHER SURPRISING example would be a Person convincing her unconscious mind that she can be smart (even though she has no past record to support this), and then eventually becomes smart and will start to outperform others. There are many more weird ways in which the Placebo Effect works. But that's probably for another time.......
