The Boeing 737-800 passenger plane of PC 8622, belonging to Pegasus Airlines of Ankara-Trabzon, was out of control at the time of landing at Trabzon Airport on Saturday at 23.30, and headed to the sea side in the north of the runway. The landing gear, the aircraft that stuck to the ground turned into a falcon, could reach 25 meters from the sea. The rescue plan was prepared within the crisis center of the plane.

The soil that was softened due to the sludge formed by the rainfall in the surroundings was expanded by filling works.
The crisis center created in Trabzon Airport clarified the rescue plan for the plane. According to the plan, the heavyweight crane brought to the region will be gradually removed from where the aircraft is located. The fuel will be emptied before the plane is removed, then the passengers' personal items, such as luggage and cabin, will be removed. The plane to be towed by the crane will be taken to the technical review. It was learned that the plane will be driven by the right engine that falls into the sea and the right-hand individual will be taken in the presence of Coast Guard teams and divers.
At the Trabzon Airport, a filling work is started to strengthen the ground in order to remove the flight from the pit. 15 work machines belonging to Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality and 20 personnel are working on the ground improvement of the recovery cranes in the area. After this work, it is planned to be removed from the point where the plane is located on Thursday with the cranes installed in the area.
He completed the work of the Accident Investigation and Research Board, which consists of 3 experts and a pilot from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. Taking the black box of the plane, the team returned to Ankara for technical examination.
It was determined that pilots did not report a malfunction during the landing of the aircraft, and an emergency call was sent to the tower during approach to the runway. The Trabzon Airport Control Tower was directed by the regional forces against the emergency call. Rescue and fire crews intervened on the plane in 1 minute and 37 seconds and learned to start evacuation and cooling. The plane's evacuation took place in recordings lasting 24 minutes.
