There are some days you show up to work and you know exactly what is going to happen. Then there are days you think you know whats going to happen. Today is a combination of both.
When you work in the travel industry there are many outside influences that determine how your day will turn out. You learn that you can only really control what you can and need to roll with the hand that you are dealt.
Weather is the biggest and most influential force when dealing with an airline. One delay due to it can casue a cascading effect on the rest of your day. For example today we have 2 extra flights that were cancelled yesterday now in the air headed my way. The issue I have is the lack of communication the airline has with the other companies that need to accommodate their passangers. I only found out looking at a flight tracker and seeing it just "pop" up on it. It's like "oh by the way", thanks.
Last we have a flight 3 hours delayed that is due in way after closing time. This has become a very common practice lately here. So it's all a waiting game where I have time to write about it.
Hopefully this is as late as it will get. Fun times lol.
