Antonov 124

After several years this week, the Antonov 124 will visit Amsterdam Schiphol Airport three times. This massive Russian aircraft mostly flies for the Military or carried large and big cargo. The first flight was on 24 December 1982 and only 55 airplanes are built, mostly for the Russian Air Force. Nowadays only the Russian Air Force and four cargo airlines fly with this type.

The RA-82010 from Polet visit the Dutch Air Force days 2005 at Gilze Rijen. Its first flight was in 1986 and is still flying around for the Russian Air Force

The first and second pictures are a closeup of the front. The aircraft can kneel down, so big freight can drive in the cargo belly.

WOW, what a view!!
You can see the big wingspan, the 4 engines and a look inside the belly. Can you recognize whats inside? It's an Apache helicopter.
