My flight: Amsterdam - Madrid
A few years ago we flew with easyJet from Amsterdam to Madrid (and of course back). easyJet is the second biggest low-cost airline in Europe with more than 300 aircraft. While competitor Ryanair flies with the Boeing 737, is easyJet flying with a Airbus A 320 (family) fleet.
The trip to Madrid was for planespotting but also for sightseeing the city of Madrid.
The cockpit…
You can see the cockpit of the Airbus A 319. With permission of the crew it was possible to take this picture.
Boarding time…
easyJet is handling on the H-gate at Schiphol. It must be low cost, so no gate but only a stair to get in.
The tail…
You can see the horizontal stabilizer. It is possible to change the stand before landing or take off, for a better lift.
The wingtip…
Ready for take off from runway 18C to Madrid…
On the end of the aircraft you see the wingtip. More and more aircrafts have bigger winglets, for fuel saving. On the Airbus A 319 you can see these relative small winglets.
Landing at Madrid Airport…
After a 2,5 hour flight we land at Madrid Airport. To brake all flaps on the wings are open. In 2017, Madrid Airport was the 6th biggest airport in Europe with a total of more than 53 million passengers. You can see the Spanish airline Iberia, Vueling and Air Europa. But also a lot of flights from South America.
I hope you enjoy my post.
