Could We Have a Second Home on Mars?

Planet Earth has been our home for millennia, but we now understand that the future of the human race cannot be guaranteed if we're all cramped on one planet. As we set our sights on the stars in search of a second home, we consider our celestial neighbor, Mars...would it be a good candidate for Earth 2.0?
