How Well Do You PLAN? - Questions to Consider When Planning Your Garden

in planning •  4 years ago

As you plan your garden, you need to ask yourself how well do you PLAN? For some people this may seem easy, but for others it can be a little more complicated. Do you plan on starting a garden by planting seeds and then fill it with loose gravel?

Perhaps you will plan a garden that is planted in the ground and then add on to it with rocks or may even require you to remove some of the soil in order to do it. Either way the point is that you need to ask yourself - how well do you PLAN?
Your first step when planning your garden is to figure out what type of planting that you would like to do. This can include a vegetable garden, or maybe a flower garden. The type of garden you plan should determine the types of plants that you choose to plant. You also want to decide what type of soil that you are going to work with.

Once you have decided what type of garden you are going to build, you will need to take the necessary questions into consideration. Some of these questions you will find to be pretty simple, and some can be more challenging. For example - if you have a difficult time planning your garden - how do you plan for pests? If you have trouble with this one too.

For example you may want to plant plants that kill off a particular pest - say if there is an insect problem with aphids in your garden you may want to consider taking some tobacco plants and attaching small cups of ink to them so that the aphids will die when they eat the ink. This can be an effective method to use in your garden as well.

Another question you will want to ask yourself when you are planning your garden is - how well do you PLAN? Are you thinking of planting seeds in pots or getting them ready to be transplanted? If you decide to plant seeds in pots then you need to consider how much water they need, and how much sunlight they need to survive.

On the other hand if you decide to start plants in containers and plant them in the ground you may want to know if you will need to wait for rain before they grow enough to be of any use. You will also want to decide whether you want to allow your soil to dry out during the winter or if you want to wait until the grass has grown sufficiently to be of any use.

Other questions you may want to ask yourself before you start planting are - how many seeds do you plan to plant, and where do you want to put them? You will also want to determine what type of soil that you are going to work with. Then once you have answered these questions you will be well on your way to making a beautiful garden.
