Summer potato
I grow anything I can get from the kitchen. Sometimes it's garlic, sometimes onion, sweet potato, beans ( I try to eat beans everyday as I'm the way to be a vegetarian :D ). Sometimes it's chili, lemon grass - leave a bit and put it into water and wait, seeds from fruit I ate. I put them in water, or soil and wait. Just pretend to forget them and one day you'll get surprised. ;)
Over the window
For the soil, I keep all the veggies peels, egg skins, banana peels, coffee. Specially, I learnt a tip from a friend: making soya soil. Just buy soya milk (quite popular here, easy to get and cheap), keep them out of fridge or in a bit hot weather. After two or three days, it'll get terrible smell means it's ready for plants. Add some water and pour it over the soil. Voila!! It's the best food for plant: cheap, nutritious, easy to make, chemical-free, also eco-friendly. Make it once in a while, maybe every month. Your plants will thank you and you thank me later. :p
Bad pic I know, the first pic from the roll. I just like the color of light on leaves
Bonus pic: me couple months ago, sunlight over the window
Ah able to see the shadow of my plants also
