Hello! Great and wonderful friends, once again it's an honour coming your way. Kindly permit me to share with you this piece entitled the Well and the Wall.
In the book of the commencement of time, we see from the poetic and prophetic declaration made by the Patriarch Jacob over his children. These are profound statements that could only be enunciated by a man of deep spiritual depth.
As regards Joseph who is reckoned as archetype of Christ, Jacob uttered : "Joseph a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a well; his branches run over the wall" Gen. 49:21.
Well here is far from doing something in a satisfactory manner, or being healthy.
The imagery in this passage is water. Yes I don't discount the fact that there are wells of gold, oil, etc. Anytime the word well is mentioned, the image your mind begins to conjecture is water. Joseph is a fruitful bough by a well. In other words, he's PLANTED OR ROOTED BY A WELL. The only New Creation under the Old covenant, David said planted by rivers of water (PS 1:3) and Isaiah indicated with joy draw water from the well of salvation. The well contains RIVERS OF LIVING WATER;
CHRIST as our Eternal Living Water is the well the believer is planted by.
His branches (extensions, activities) run over the WALL. The wall hems in, restricts, limits, constricts and constrains. a WALL is a barricade, a barrier. Joseph ran over the limitations, overcame the constrains and restrictions was because he was planted by a well. Because you are planted by the ETERNAL WELL Which is CHRIST, you run over/overcome every wall.
My quotation: HE THAT IS PLANTED THE ETERNAL WELL RUNS OVER THE WALLS OF LIMITATIONS.
Planted by the eternal well your branches, that is your ministry, marriage, business, profession, career, etc. cannot be hemmed in by force of restriction.
YOU ARE PLANTED BY OUR ETERNAL WELL AND YOUR WON'T WITHER BUT SPREAD ACROSS AND OVER.
