My mother in law got me a couple of sunflowers a few months ago. They were gorgeous, but I know me, I do not have a green thumb at all! Haha! I kept putting off planting them, they started looking pretty pitiful, and one day I looked at them and thought, it's time I plant these bad boys!
So me and my daughter found a spot in our yard, dug up some dirt, and planted them! I was beginning to think that they were just going to be dead, (and one of them we planted is not doing so hot) but looked out this morning and found this.
I know it may not be the biggest, or the prettiest, but me and my daughter are pretty proud! And the fact that she helped me plant it makes it even more special!

and proud you should be! It is magnificent in its own right! Nature in all its glory! My mother is a BIG "green fingers" and whilst my talent and knowledge is nowhere near hers, I learn a little every season :)
