Oxalis Triangularis

in plants •  6 years ago

I am a big fan of houseplants. Most of my plants are bright green beauties, but some of them are less common colors. One of those rare non-green houseplants that I love is our oxalis. This plant is sometimes known as “false shamrock” for its resemblance to clover plants.

While growing wild in a yard, many people see these plants as a weed because they are so prolific. But this is one of the reasons I love this plant in a pot indoors. It’s a hardy plant that will snap back if you skip a watering day. And it’s crimson and violet colors are so unique and beautiful. Another lovely trait of this plant is its ability to produce tiny flowers. The variety that we have sprouts dainty pale purple flowers that only contribute to the overall amazingness of this plant.
