Capturing the Japanese Barberry

in plants •  last year

Hi and welcome to my photography blog! Today's plant is Japanese barberry. Japanese barberry is a thorny shrub with a height and width of up to 6 feet (1.8 metres). Small, yellow flowers are produced in the spring, and in the summer and autumn, it bears bright red berries. The green, oval-shaped leaves have serrated edges and a glossy sheen.
