Ever wondered why your #Orchids never ever flower. The bloom you buy from the garden centre will eventually fade and fall: then after years of hopeful waiting your plant never ever blooms again.
Well the answer is here!
You'll notice the plant actually comes in a clear plastic container but the garden centre will always sell them in a nicely decorated ceramic pot. This is the problem. The roots need light to produce flowers. So remove the plant from its ceramic container and wait. The roots should turn green - this is the sign of a happy plant and in time will produce flowers again. Just dunk the pot in water once a week for 15minutes and place the plant and its clear plastic container in dappled light and magic will eventually happen.
So, a glass container would be best, then - correct?
