Want to play STEEM-POCALYPSE but missed out on the sign-up? Want to play but you're not sure about the rules and would like to learn how to play in a less competitive setting? (Or are you shy and don't want to learn in front of so many players?) Have you already been killed off in STEEM-POCALYSE but would like to keep playing? (Are you still alive in the current season of STEEM-POCALYPSE but want to goof around with your fellow players some more?)
Then this is the game for you!
The Rules for Proper Gameplay:
-- Players must reply within 24hrs of this post being made or they will die.
-- Players must reply to the comment below containing the option they would like to choose for gameplay. If they reply to the main post and not the comment containing the option they would like to choose, they will die.
-- Players must keep track of their own inventories and when they last ate/when they must eat again to avoid starvation.
-- -- EXAMPLE:
I have one backup food supply, rope, 6 ammo (no gun), I ate some berries on Day 3 Round 2, and I choose Option 3!
-- -- -- As this is the first post for this season, there is currently no inventory to keep track of. However, that will change soon and when it does, make sure you keep track of your inventory!
-- -- -- -- Any attempts at dishonesty when listing your inventory will result in immediate death.
THE BIG DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PLAY-ALONG-POCALYPSE and STEEM-POCALYPSE:
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, you do not have to signup to play. In STEEM-POCALYPSE, all players must signup for the current season ahead of time. Only those that signed up are allowed to play in the current season.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, death is temporary and you may play again on the next game post. In STEEM-POCALYPSE, death is permanent and you must wait until the next season to play again.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, you may join us at any point in the game. Meaning, if you didn't play with us in the beginning, you're still welcome to join in and start out on whatever the current round is. If you didn't play in Day 1 Round 1, Day 1 Round 2, Day 2 Round 1, Day 2 Round 2, you are still welcome to join us in Day 3 Round 1. (If you join later on in gameplay, I will provide you with a small inventory of items.) In STEEM-POCALYPSE, you MUST begin playing on Day 1 Round 1 and MUST reply to every game post within 24hrs of it being posted or you will die and have to wait until the next season to play again.
-- -- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, I will be enforcing the reply within 24hrs to a game post. Since death is temporary in Play-Along-Pocalypse, the only real consequence is that you will miss out on whatever inventory you might've gained in the missed post and you will miss out on eating if one of the options provided a meal.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, if you're not playing the game, you're allowed to comment and interact with people in the comments of the game posts anyways. In STEEM-POCALYPSE, commenting on game posts when you are not playing is not only VERY RUDE but it's against the rules and creates more work for @Papa-Pepper and myself. So please don't idly chat on STEEM-POCALYPSE posts, come chat on Play-Along-Pocalypse posts instead.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, I'll be posting a list of all the players that played correctly in the previous game post. They will be the 'survivors'. Those that do no play correctly will not be listed. Play-Along-Pocalypse is for learning how to play the game and to have fun and be much more relaxed while learning the game. In STEEM-POCALYPSE, a list of the survivors and a list of the fallen are posted every day.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, there is no prize pool to win. Why? Because this is a learning experience and for fun. In STEEM-POCALYPSE, there's not only a prize pool, but it can grow to be quite large. However, those unable to play the official game correctly will not win the prize pool. If you want to win potentially hundreds or thousands of dollars, you need to be able to follow the game rules on your own if you want to win the money.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, if you die for some reason, I will inform you of your demise and the reason for it, and you can try again on the next game post. In STEEM-POCALYPSE, if you die, you die. Try again next season.
OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, I highly encourage you to ask all the questions you want or need. I will answer them to the very best of my ability.
-- In Play-Along-Pocalypse, I highly encourage you to interact with each other and to have fun.
-- I also highly encourage you to get creative and to leave your STEEM-POCALYPSE/Play-Along-Pocalypse inspired creations in the comments below.
-- Roleplaying is highly encouraged.
I am the Record Keeper for STEEM-POCALYPSE and Play-Along-Pocalypse has been approved by @Papa-Pepper himself.

OKAY, ON TO THE ACTUAL GAME!!
The Official STEEM-POCALYPSE Season 6 Day 2 Round 1 Post by @Papa-Pepper
In the last round the players had a chance to potentially locate some food. They will need to find some food before the end of today or they will starve to death, so the last round and this round are their only options. Let’s see how they did.
DAY 2 ROUND 1 RESULTS
OPTION 1 - Try to search an abandoned lot for any plants that may be edible.
The players that chose Option 1 snuck along the edge of a building, and slowly slide down in until it reached the edge of the abandoned lot. Lots like this can have lots of wild edibles in them, but did this one?
Sure enough, a plethora of delicious plants awaited our players. As the STEEM-Pocalypse survival game goes, mid-snack they heard someone coming and had to immediately run away to avoid death, so no backup supply was gathered.
The Players who chose Option 1 have successfully eaten and now need to eat prior to the end of Day 4 in order to avoid starvation. Congratulations. Please include the Day that you must eat by in your response to avoid starvation.
OPTION 2 – Try to search a looted grocery store across the street for anything that anyone else may have missed.
Quickly, the players who chose Option 2 ran into what was left of the grocery store. In a lot of ways, it looked like the flower shop. The majority of the windows had been broken and some of the store was charred from a fire. The floor is disgusting because the remnants of the overflowing sewer are still stuck to the floor.
It is amazing to see all the broken glass from containers that once held milk, pasta sauce and orange juice… Even in the desperate times immediately following the blackout people had been so greedy and selfish that they chose to break open valuable sources of nutrition rather than leaving them for others.
As the players are searching, they hear a noise. Someone else just walked in…
The players crouch down in an aisle and wait. The person also searches the store a bit, but gives up before finding any food or the hiding players.
Once the person is gone the players get some alone time to keep searching the store… but it turns out to be empty.
The Players who chose Option 2 found nothing. They will need to find some food this round or they will perish and be eliminated...
OPTION 3 – Try to search a few abandoned vehicles lining the street and crashed on the sidewalk.
Quickly the players who chose Option 3 rifled through the nearby vehicles. Time and time again they came up empty. Mostly the vehicles had been looted too, and if they had anything inside, it was garbage.
Something caught the players eyes though. What was that under that booster seat?
It almost looked like an unopened package of beef jerky. Slowly, and with much anticipation, the players reached beneath to see if the package was unopened... or empty.
Sure enough, it was FULL! Being smart STEEM-Pocalypse players, no one ate their jerky yet, because if they find food in this round, then they can save the beef jerky for a backup food supply. If they do not find food this round, then the beef jerky will automatically be consumed to avoid starvation.
The Players who chose Option 3 currently have 1 Backup Food Supply. If they do not find anything to eat this round, they will automatically eat the beef jerky to avoid starvation. Make sure to include this in your inventory or you will lose it. Congratulations.
OPTION 4 – Don't bother trying to find anything to eat this round and just keep going.
The Players who chose Option 4 obviously found nothing. They will need to find some food this round or they will perish and be eliminated...
Day 2 Round 2 SCENARIO
The players are moving towards the edge of the city. Many are still hungry and must eat this round or they will die!
Sneaking along is a dangerous game. Thankfully, they haven't seen anyone... yet.
"Hey!"
A shout comes from behind. There stands a woman with a backpack. She appears to be unarmed and alone.
"I really need a weapon. If you have a knife, or a gun with some ammo, I would gladly trade 2 cans of food for it," she says.
Two cans of food are enough of a Backup Food Supply to last four days. The offer to trade is enticing, but it would cost a weapon, if she is telling the truth.
Can she be trusted? Is it worth the loss of a weapon. For players with no weapon, could she be overpowered and her backpack stolen? Is she alone? Is she really unarmed? Should you just shoot her, or stab her? Should you run away?
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 - Turn down her offer and try to continue on your way.
OPTION 2 – Try to trade a weapon for the canned goods. If you choose this option, you must specify which weapon. Also, if you trade a gun, you will give up all of your ammunition.
OPTION 3 – Try to shoot her dead and take the backpack instead of trading. (For players with a gun.)
OPTION 4 – Try to over-power her and take her backpack instead of trading. (For unarmed players.)
OPTION 5 - Try to stab her with the knife and take her backpack instead of trading. (For players with knife.)
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY
All players who have signed up and want to play must reply to this post with 24 hours in order to avoid elimination and continue gameplay. All players must reply to my option comment below, not to this post. I will reply to my own posts with the options each in their own comments, and the players must reply to whichever comment has the option that they wish to choose.
Also, please remember to include your inventory in your reply. Example:
I have gas, a backup food supply and a pistol with 8 rounds of ammunition. I choose Option 3 this round.
As always, please remember that all outcomes are predetermined. In an elimination survival game, most of you are going to die eventually. Nothing personal.

I have gas, shotgun with five rounds and beef jerky. Not sure what her deal is, but if I give her a weapon for food, what is to stop her from taking the food back once she is armed?
I'll keep moving on.

You do not have a shotgun or ammo.
This will count as a miss for D2R2.

Really? I thought I grabbed the shotgun. I must have been mistaken how to play. No biggie.

I believe you picked your option after the next game post had already been posted.
Once the new post is up, you can't choose from the older post(s). So if you miss a round, you miss that round. You can't go back and pick an option.

For the play-along, i'm going to trade my knife (if I still have it) for the canned goods. I need to eat this round. Maybe I can ask her to borrow the knife just long enough to OPEN the cans! :-)

At this point in time your inventory from STEEM-POCALYPSE does not transfer over to Play-Along-Pocalypse.
This may change in Season 2 of Play-Along-Pocalypse.

You also have the right to flag anything u dont like.

Actually, I take flagging more seriously than that. This isn't Reddit where it's just karma you're taking from other people. You're potentially taking money from them.
I don't flag posts just because I don't like them. I flag them if they breach the community guidelines.
Any decent person would use those flagging standards as well.

Why is it so hard for someone like you to understand what respect is?
Do you really think you're just so much better than everyone else?
I didn't flag your unwanted post on STEEM-POCALYPSE. I even told you I understood why you commented there, but @papa-pepper asks that people not playing the game don't comment on the game posts. You could have picked any other post of his to comment that on. But you picked the one post he asks people not to comment on unless they're playing.
That's disrespectful as hell.
But I didn't flag your comment. I flag all the other spam comments, but I didn't flag yours. Not until you started flagging me.
And I only flagged that one comment. One. Only one.
At this point, coming to my post? Threatening me not to say anything if I don't want to be flagged? This is harassment.
