Plaza is a company on a mission, a mission of great importance i must say. Plaza is developing a high-performance decentralized platform that will allow its users who in this case are retailers, seller and manufacturers to use blockchain technology to not only participate in the company's marketplace but also build their own DApps. Plaza says it can get the prices of products to lower in price because it would have eliminated costly middlemen while also protecting user data from exploitive profiteering tactics used by centralized institutions.
Plaza has a solid team in place to help them achieve this mission.
CEO of Plaza, Kevin Johnson has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and bachelor’s degree in Political science from the University of California. He started out his career in 1994, as a restaurant information systems and development consultant at Big Mark Consulting. I should say Kevin has always had the entrepreneurial spirit because he left his position in 1997 to found Zorro Net, which was a California based internet service leader. He joined NXT Trading. Inc in 2001 as CEO before moving to create Marketplace Authority, a CRM platform that allows retailers to sell items online. He left to start Plaza Systems as soon as he left Marketplace Authority in 2017. Kevin was caught by the Silicon Valley bug quite early in life and his skills in fintech and ecommerce are exactly what Plaza needs.
The founder in charge of executing the company's commercial strategy as well as overall development agenda, David Colton the Chief Commercial Officer of Plaza has worked with Kevin for years. He was with him when during the time of Crazy Sellers and Marketplace Authority. Companies they both oversaw. David is skilled at Business development and Business strategy and his insight will be integral to the success of Plaza. Brian currently resides in the United Kingdom.
Plaza also has a lot of great advisors on its team.
Jason Corbett, A blockchain lawyer currently in Bangkok, Thailand. Jason holds bachelor’s degree in Law from the Bond University, one of Australia's top non-profit university. He also holds a Masters in Global Business Law from La Trobe University. Jason also went further to pursue an SJD in Law from La Trobe, which is in simple terms - a doctors in science. Jason left school and started his high-flying careers, holding senior level positions all through. For example, he started as president of Spray Rite, an industrial and commercial vegetation control company in Alberta. He then moved on to become a lawyer of a nationally recognized law firm, here he oversaw advising clients with regards to mergers and acquisitions. He facilitated deals worth greater thirty billion US dollars.
He moved to start his own unique marketplace in 2015, known as Jawas, it facilitated or connected people via a marketplace setting to buy and sell the assets of failed start-ups to each other. Jason is currently the Director of Business Development at Silk Legal Capital Limited - a litigation law firm financier. You can see where I’m going with this. He has also held the role of chief investment officer at Silver Cord Advisory, a firm that specializes in providing start-ups with professional services for an exchange of equity, he has also worked as the chief strategy officer of Lexit. His skills and experience in investments, legal affairs and blockchain will prove beneficial and extremely useful to pushing Plaza to the next level.
Next advisor I’d love to talk about is - Bob Blower, a banking and trade finance expert, currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Other than successfully advising Plaza, Bob has also sat on the advisory board of other huge corporations. Most notable one being, Genertec America Inc, a Chinese state-owned manufacturing, pharmaceutical, construction, real estate and engineering conglomerate, with over 45000 employees, that’s valued at more than 26 billion US dollars. He also co-founded and led a financial company called Golden Rhino Ltd. You can read his trade article on EU here
The next advisor I’d like to mention, is Sydney Ifergan, a cryptocurrency and digital marketing expert, with over twenty years of experience working with everything online marketing related, SEO, analytics etc. Sydney has a Brevet de technicien supérieur in Computing from Ecole Superieur D'Informatique et de Gestion (ESIG), Paris. Sydney is the founder of ICO advisor site - ICOSAdvisors.com and the current CEO of The Currency Analytics, a company that's dedicated to getting rid of the fake news that has plagued the digital economy. Sydney has also been a part of VictorToken, TokenMatch, Playgame Pte. Ltd. and INGOT Coin. His speciality will prove extremely crucial for Plaza, especially when it comes to getting word about the brand out there. Both online and offline.
Please note that i haven't listed every member of the team here and it wasn't meant to downplay any of their roles within the company, to learn information about the team, check out this link - Team
