Let’s face it; all of us at some point in our day, rely on the help and assistance of others —at home, work, and out in the public eye. We sometimes, don't even realize how much we rely on others to accomplish what we need to get done. Any great leader will tell you that you can not rise to the top without the help of other people. Regardless of whether or not it’s a person’s job or responsibility to help you, saying this one word, when asking for anything—is a principle so important that I’m devoting this article to help you tap into the “Power and”Effects of the “Magic Word."
At the most basic level, when we use the word, it shows respect and consideration for the effort another person puts in to help us. Including it with your request is not only a social norm but, if communicated with a genuine sense of appreciation, it’s a powerful way to establish relationships, build rapport, build and develop your own character. By now, you have guessed it, the word is please, off course. People are always more willing to fulfill my requests or provide the help I need when I add the word please. As the saying goes, “You must give respect to get respect.”
When you are friendly and say please, most of us, are more likely to respect you in return. Also, without a doubt, consistently using please (with everyone, all the time) is a tiny thing that will most assuredly help you stand out in a crowd of people who are only concerned about their own to-do lists.Subconsciously or Intentionally. Even when we say please, it's worth noting that how we say it really matters too.
So please accept my deepest gratitude for following me.
