U.S. quadruples plutonium for nuclearsteemCreated with Sketch.

The U.S. has ended a program (MOX) which would have converted military grade plutonium to plutonium for use in energy. Now instead they are ramping up military grade plutonium production!

In moving plutonium last year secretly from the Savannah River Site in South Carolina to a facility in Nevada the U.S. is in the process to “quadruple the production rate of plutonium bomb cores”. The plutonium pit, or bomb core, is the key nuclear ingredient in the first stage in an exploding nuclear weapon.

U.S. industrial-scale bomb core production ended in 1989, at the end of the cold war, so why should it be restarted now?? Just another sign of the belligerence, bullying, and idiocy of the current U.S. administration to jeopardize humanity for the sake of masculine vanity and frustrated stupidity.
