This is something minor I noticed in the hallway bathroom as the contractors are doing the subfloor currently:
It is about 3/4” gap due to a measuring error. Would you complain and leave it alone...or say something and have them fix it?
I am leaning toward leaving it alone, and possibly fixing myself. I don’t want to nitpick and anger the workers...but maybe that is being too nice?
It is not in my nature to be nitpicky but a defense mechanism kicks in when I am paying full price for cut corners. Sucks but saying something is fair and setting the precedent that they need to do a GOOD job for you is a condition of the agreement should be expected.
Just have to find a way to let them off the hook and thank them for fixing it.
