World Pneumonia Day November 12
World Pneumonia Day, observed annually on November 12, is dedicated to raising awareness about pneumonia, a preventable and treatable illness that remains one of the leading causes of death in young children worldwide. Established in 2009 by the Stop Pneumonia Initiative, World Pneumonia Day seeks to mobilize efforts for better prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pneumonia, especially in low- and middle-income countries.
