Listless I Lie in My Hut

in poem •  6 years ago

The shrubs, scattering across the narrow lanes,
obstruct the sunbeams enter my chamber.
Curling upward, a handful groves and spongy scrubs
serve a peaceful shadow in the corridor.

Few shadowy trees with umbrella branches
become an abode for the cheeping birds.
Column of winking breeze through leaky leaves,
Peered with dazzling dews in the blades of grass
And lukewarm sun peeping in the morn,
lend to my chamber an Olympus throne!

Yet Somnus curses me at once!
Oh! listless I lie in my hut,
Keeping the weary eyes shut!list.jpg
