Nostalgic Return

in poem •  6 years ago

I dream I were back again
The green underneath and the golden sun upon
With the burning beams
Spreading its scorching heat all around.

If I could make that giddy run again
Brushing the bushes and passing through
The spongy leaves of tender plants
And lie listless onto the thick tuffets.

Oh! Had a kite of colours in hand
I hovered it in the oblate horizon
Dancing and flapping in the breeze,
Flurry wind taking my kite a seize.

I heard the rustle and crackle of thickets
Flashing in the full-grown mind-
Corrupt and rotten by urban bustle.

I dream I were back again
The green all around.nostalgia.jpg
