Memories in the Making

in poem •  7 years ago  (edited)

Summer air
Wind blown hair
Where you wanna go?
I'll take you there
Tiny ladybugs
The pretty green drugs
Memories so sweet
They're like comforting hugs
I love how he does it
He makes me alive
Ever since him
I've found it easy to smile
Cold river water
Hot sticky sweat
Just one kiss from him
And then I'll be set
These are my memories
The best of the best
I hide them in a corner towards the top of my head
Me and him all alone
Shady spot by the water
Half a bottle of Patrón
Make the hot day hotter
Soft touches at night
Laughs from our play fights
His smile is something of a beautiful sight
His fingers curl around mine
This is where we belong
Whoever thinks I'm not right
Is purely dead wrong
Long drives down long back roads
Baby let's get lost
No curfew or boundaries
So there's not much to cost
These are my memories
The best of the best
I have another stash
Towards the middle of my chest
Memories still in the making
For which I'm happy to say
Let's see what types of memories
We make today. IMG_1051.JPG
