Let Go (An Original Poem)

in poem •  7 years ago

If I stopped playing,
This unwritten game;
Would you keep saying
That we'd always be the same?
Or would you look away,
And and leave me in pain?
Even though I may
Leave you broken and in shame?

A life has many chapters,
And they keep on growing more,
No on what deserves their captors,
So they should shut that door;
Like a compass never showing north,
Broken, going back to store,
Like a pole that isn't orth,
All we are, is a bore

Doing things we don't want to do,
As we are to tired to say no,
Since we are never on cue,
Please, don't let me go;
Doing things we never did,
Things we never get to show,
Please, just do my bid,
And never ever let go.
