The two worlds of America

in poem •  4 years ago  (edited)

There are two worlds in America today.

In one world, socialism is equity.
In the other world, socialism is tyranny.

In one world, "gender" is capricious.
In the other world, "gender" is determined by the presence of a Y chromosome.

In one world, Truth is a relative interpretation.
In the other world, Truth is objectively observable.

In one world, religion is an archaic mythology and superstition.
In the other world, religion is a set of learned principles given to all, through the generations.

In one world, each individual is simply a burden on the collective.
In the other world, each individual is a treasure for what they may potentially contribute.

In one world, events unfold by random chance and people are hapless participants.
In the other world, people may determine through choices, how the future will be.

In one world, a person is a helpless product of shaped neuron pathways, determined by a combination of genetic chance and random events.
In the other world, a person is a small piece of the divine experience of the universe.

In one world, arrogance and force bring destruction.
In the other world, humility and service bring joy.

In one world, there IS no meaning.
In the other world, the meaning is the journey of life.

You can die in one world.

OR

In the other world, you can choose to live.
