She brought forth family and home
Tamed the wilds and our hearts
Nourished in famine and in fat
Lead us in dark times
Carried us from the old world
Built a home in the new
Loves all with out question
Made peace with god and mother nature
Dried countless tears
Gave us our story that guides us
Filled our hearts
Hugs warmed my soul
Bent her beliefs to include us all
Her body is gone but her spirit will never leave us
