sometimes

in poem •  8 years ago

Sometimes I imagine calling my mother
Talking to her about her religion
She's philosophical and full of insights
Then I remember my childhood and forget the whole thing
Keep the wall up let nothing out
My heart is safe behind my wall
She seems happy to destroy my sisters
I can't look them in the eyes
