They will tell you that the price of freedom
is Liberty,
that the answer to crime is violence,
that they define sanity,
that they demand your compliance-
that any free thinking or speaking against them
is or soon will be an act of defiance-
that to defy is against them,
and all against them are terrorists.
That terrorists and patriots
are opposites or equivalent, that citizens,
free men, those recognized as human,
are only those law biding.
Though who of us has done any law writing?
Where is the old "check and balance"
of both making and enforcing
all the rules,
deciding who's appointed for interpreting,
all the funding to the bills that have been passing,
legislators bought by lobbying,
all the nepotism and fraternity
in all the future hiring
of this resource and information line
of somehow legal coveting?
Where is the common man in that?
Where is this "Greater Good"?
Why carry the Standard of a flag
that has forsaken me?
There is no smaller minority than one person.
That is me.
