Salvation

in poem •  6 years ago

Rows of people asleep,
Secretly weeping for their salvation.

Rabid dogs surround them, salivating blood, they wish we cuddled, nourished ourselves.
Waking up is easily hard,
Rubbing eyes, clearing the way to see far away,
The colour white, in its brightest bright.
It may sway fly high or shroud corpses.
Short lived both, but one allows for fornication and the other just fornicates,
our placated sense of freedom.
The kind that makes you scream.
Horrific faces buried in the ground.
Proper bait for hunting doves, get them to a screeching halt. Roast those birds, maybe add a little salt.
Can you take a bullet?
Stand up for peace.
Or maybe draft a sonnet?
Stand up for peace.
You decision, lets call it?
Stand up for peace.
Or maybe your just dead,
Put your finger in a socket.

@karandhar Your peom depicts the fate of so many in my country. The imagery are clear indication of hopelessness. May we all stand for this peace.
