My homeland
The place where I took my first breath,
Where I learned of love and was taught of truth.
A home to the most beautiful women in Africa,
Where you feel loved, even before talking to any body
In my home land.

My homeland,
The Land of Empaako,
Where the Ugandan modern civility originated.
A tourist hub in the world to take your stress away,
From breath-taking scenery to terrific wildlife and year-round summer,
A destination to one of the greenest & coolest cities in the world—Fort Portal;
Where many tourists from around the world have been attracted since always.
In my homeland.

My homeland,
When my eyes roll back for sleep,
There are fireworks of Tooro sunsets that everyone would die for.
And when I wake up at night, sweaty with nightmare,
It is my homeland anthem pumping in my eardrums,
Like the soundtrack of a romantic movie;
My homeland, I am tethered to you.
No doubt you remain the pearl of the peal of Africa.
